MaterialRice straw, mud-dyed rice straw, silver 925

A water blessing series for growing rice ears. We represented the most important water in our lives with a simple shizk design. The unique plump curved form is created by the artist's own method and is a classic form of WARA jewelry. May the ripples of this drop of Shizuku jewelry spread a fruitful and rich life to us.

With the cooperation of Kanai Kogei, the brown-dyed part was subjected to rice straw with mud dyeing, which is transmitted to Amami Oshima Island. Due to the mud ingredients and craftsmanship unique to Amami Oshima, rice straw, which is originally difficult to dye with natural dyes, has also firmly settled, resulting in a chic impression. You can enjoy the combination of straw and mud woven by nature.

Concept
Straw has been familiar to Japanese culture since ancient time, and is often used for shinto rituals and celebrations. By including the good luck in "WARA jewelry" and wearing it, this sanctity tightens the mind and brings a change of heart.

The material is rice cultivation by myself at Kyoto "Hanasashi", which is a production base where I was born and raised, and use carefully selected rice straw and shibakusa (wild grass). Because we value the change in the color of the straw over time and the warmth of nature, the skin is familiar and healed by the faint smell of straw. Because we are working to create stylish and contemporary works with the sophisticated modeling technology of straw work, it can be well matched in various scenes such as casual style, dress-up, Japanese dress-up, etc., and can be learned regardless of age or gender.

With a unique natural mode design that reminds us of the roots of the Japanese people, we are expanding new possibilities such as fashion items and object works in addition to creating the only jewelry in the world.

Materials
Speaking of straw work, in the past, such as slines, nabes, sandals, and circles, they were secret as everyday life tools, with their own hands, in order to enrich their lives. However, as the world becomes more convenient, the need for straw work has faded, and now fewer people are being made in the Hanasa area through all over Japan. Because of the rice cultivation culture in the country of rice, the straw work that has been cultivated over the centuries is a treasure filled with the wisdom and warmth of its foreto.

The materials I work with are rice straw (asahimochi) grown in the rice field of the back of the flower and shibakusa (official name: chikara shiba, used for string to bring chimaki bamboo grass) which is a wild grass harvested locally. Every year, from spring to autumn, with the cooperation of local relatives' grandmothers, the ingredients are planted →→ → and cleaned by their own hands. Carefully selected from among them, the straw is struck with a wooden hammer, and it is finally ready to be crafted. Because it is a natural thing, it is also attractive that it changes from green to yellow (candy color when it passes further) over time.

The different materials are mizui, Nishijin silk thread, freshwater pearl, crystal, metal formed metal, etc., and we aim to be a warm and new DARA jewelry that will suit any era.
